This is the North Star of ImageBear — the vision of who a man becomes when he walks with Jesus and grows into who God created him to be.
I am a man who has struggled with his own image.
For years I looked for validation, comfort, and identity in places other than where I should have looked — Jesus. That search led me into patterns of addiction and brokenness that slowly distorted how I saw myself and how I lived. I know what it feels like to be in a pit and to believe there is no way out.
"But Jesus restores what is broken."
Through His grace, through honest relationships with other men, and through a growing relationship with Him, my life began to change. The man I was becoming started to look more like the man God had created me to be.
That journey changed me — and continues to change me.
It also opened my eyes to how many men are quietly carrying the same struggles — shame, addiction, pressure, anxiety, and the fear that they are the only ones fighting these battles.
Through my own recovery, I began to sense a clear calling: to walk with other men as they pursue restoration and grow into the men God created them to be.
That calling became ImageBear.
Why ImageBear
In Genesis, we are told that God created men and women in His image. Every man carries that identity as an image bearer of God.
"But life, sin, and brokenness often distort that image. Shame, addiction, pressure, and failure can cause a man to forget who he was created to be."
The good news is that Jesus restores what has been broken.
ImageBear exists to walk with men as they follow Jesus and grow into the men God created them to be — faithful bearers of His image in their homes, churches, and communities.

He knows that his identity does not come from success, failure, or the opinions of others — but from the God whose image he bears.
He pursues a life of integrity — choosing honesty over hiding, courage over passivity, and faithfulness over compromise.
He refuses to walk alone. He surrounds himself with brothers who challenge him, support him, and walk beside him in the battles of life.
He stands up and fights the battles that matter — against sin, fear, and the spiritual forces that seek to destroy him — trusting Jesus to give him strength.
He embraces the mission God has entrusted to him, leading with humility and responsibility in his home, his work, his church, and his community.
The ImageBear man is not a perfect man. He is a restored man, walking with Jesus and learning each day to live as a faithful bearer of God's image.
